5 Super Fun Activities You Should Do This Spring/Summer With Your Dog
It’s finally Spring, the warmer temperatures are coming back, the sun is shining a bit more, and you are probably looking for fun activities to do with your four-legged best friend(s), and we get that! Here are 5 super fun activities that we recommend you should try this Spring and Summer.
1. Go for a dog friendly picnic
Picture it: it’s a lovely Spring day, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and you just want to head out. How about a nice dog friendly picnic at one of your local parks, at the beach, or even just in your garden? You could even bake some lovely treats for your doggy so they don’t have to stare at you while you eat your pork pie! And of course, the best part of a picnic in our opinion: laying on the picnic blanket in the sun for a little afternoon nap. The perfect Spring day.

2. Work out
Spring means nice days coming back more frequently, and so more time to spend outside in the lovely weather. So how about working out with your dog? It can be just going on long walks, jogging, cycling, swimming, or even trying new things like dog yoga! After all, it’s important you stay in shape and your dog does too. Dogs require a lot of physical activity, no matter their breed. These fun activities will do them good, and also do you good. It’s also an opportunity to spend quality time with your dog and bond. Trust us, you’ll love it!
3. Go to the beach
When you are lucky enough to live not too far from the sea, you should never take it for granted! As the warmer days come, spending time on the beach with your four-legged friend is a great option. Your dog will enjoy running on the beach, playing in a different environment from what they’re used to (unless you already go to the beach regularly) and even having a little swim in the sea. And who knows, maybe you could even join them if the water is not too cold! A perfect location to have plenty of fun and create great memories with your doggy! Loads of fun guaranteed!
4. Play interactive games
Have you ever heard of dog brain games and puzzles? If you haven’t yet, we definitely recommend you check it out! They’re easy to find just with a little Google search, and they’re a lot of fun for your doggies. Dogs need mental stimulation as much as physical stimulation, and it’s very important to never let your dog get bored.
Most dog brain games consist of little puzzles in which you hide nice treats or your dog’s food, and then just let your dog work it all out so they can eat the yummy food! Super simple for you and super fun for them!
5. Explore a National Park
If you like a bit of adventure and love to spend a lot of time outside, or if you are the opposite of all this but you would like to try to spend more time outdoors, here’s one for you: National Parks!
National Parks are huge parks, much bigger than country parks, full of amazing landscapes, wildlife and great things to see. The U.K. has 15 National Parks in total, so chances are you can easily find one not too far from you. Many walks and places to explore with your dog. So why not plan a little camping trip to one of those parks, or even just book a dog-friendly B&B nearby, to have the best holiday with your pet?
