Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation

The 14 mile walk runs from Springfield Basin in Chelmsford to the sea lock at Heybridge Basin near Maldon. The towpath is simple to follow along the length of the Navigation and it is clear where it switches from one bank to the other.
If you or your dog can’t manage to walk the full 14 miles, there are many links to the towpath that enable you to do round walks of a length of your choice.
